Lyle Eugene Olson, 69, of Albany, Ore., and formerly of Kalispell, died May 27, 2013, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany.

He was born July 15, 1943, in Rochester, Ind., to Clarence C. and Edith J. (Fetrow) Olson. He went to school in Kalispell, and was a member of the Montana National Guard. 

He married Nita Hill on Dec. 4, 1989, in Albany.

Lyle enjoyed baseball and getting together for family outings.

He is survived by his wife, Nita; sons, Robert, Steven and Ronnie Olson; brother, Norman Olson, of Port Angeles, Wash.; and sister, Norma Olson, of Lacey, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services were held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens Chapel with burial at Hill Family Cemetery in Albany.

Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Albany handled arrangements.
