Mary Louise Schroder, 88

Mary Louise Schroder, 88, of Cut Bank, formerly of Kalispell, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank, due to natural causes.

Mary was born to Orland and Florence (Stevenson) Covert on July 14, 1924, in Kalispell, where she was raised and attended school.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Glen Schroder, on Oct. 9, 1942, and was a stay-at-home mom. They raised two daughters, Palma Lee Shock and Linda Louise Fletcher.

Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kalispell and the Flathead Pioneer Auto Club. She loved her garden, and grew some of the most beautiful roses, irises and peonies.

In July of 2006, Mary moved to Cut Bank to be closer to her daughter Lee.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Palma Lee Shock and Thomas of Cut Bank, and Linda Louise Fletcher and Norman of Grass Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren, Cynthia-Shock Bucklin and Douglas of Downtown, Pa., Chadwick Shock and Debbie of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Glenda Fletcher of Sacramento, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Alexandria Vernon, Isabel, Andrew, Jeffery and Mark Bucklin of Downtown, and Trenton Shock of Bainbridge; and one great-great granddaughter, Blake Holly Matthews, of Downtown.

She was predeceased by her parents, Orland and Florence; husband, Raymond Glen; two sisters, Ina Ruth Billsborough and Mildred Cordell; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, in Kalispell at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

Whitted Funeral Chapel of Cut Bank is in charge of arrangements.
