New leaders in 4th of July golf tournament

WHITEFISH — New names top the leaderboard after second-day action at the annual 4th of July golf tournament at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

Kramer Hickok of Plano, Texas, and Tom Swanson of Missoula are the new leaders in the men’s field after 36 holes with 135 totals.

Swanson had the best round Friday on the North Course with a 66. Hickok shot 69. They have a three-shot lead on Brock Robbillard of Calgary, Alberta, 66-72—138.

Dalan Refioglu of Foster City, Calif., is fourth, 68-73—141, and six shots off the pace.

First-day leader Reed Platke of Whitefish turned in a 77 for a two-day total of 142. He’s seven shots back and tied for fifth place with Robb Bergeson of Billings.

Amber Lundskog of Bozeman and Jackie Mee of Libby share the top spot in women’s play with 149 totals. Lundskog shot 73 on the South Course Friday while Mee carded a 76.

Morgan Lee of Great Falls and Lindsay Reeve of Missoula shared the lead after Thursday’s action. Both shot 72.

Reeve turned in a 79 Friday and is tied with Maggie Crippen of Missoula for third place with 151 totals.

Lee shot an 80 and is fifth with a 152.

Seven golfers are within seven shots of the lead.

Tournament action winds up today.
