POST FALLS - Jeremy McKinney struck out nine and Jacob Koski went 3 for 4 and scored twice as the Prairie Cardinals beat the Spokane Blue Devils 10-3 in their second game of the day Thursday at the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene Wood Bat Classic at Post Falls High.

"Jeremy McKinney pitched an excellent game," Prairie coach Dustin Frank said.

In the first game, Robert Reasor drove in six runs and the Kalispell Lakers pounded out 15 hits in a 21-7 victory over Prairie. McKinney drove in three runs for the Cardinals, two on a fourth-inning single.

"We had great offensive approaches all day," Frank said. "We struggled throwing strikes against Kalispell and worked behind the hitters. All in all I was very proud of the kids and how they worked hard all day."
