Ordinance push-back isn't an over-reaction

Are there any Christians among us, truly loving like Christ, who disagree with the LBGT premise?
Beginning with "The Ordinance" debate, has the so-called Christian community judged and over-reacted toward our LBGT friends in the community?
Both statements are true. Rather than be sucked in by the emotion which always leads to personal attacks, let us reason together.
Logically, the LBGT's long range goal is to redefine marriage. Packaging this as human rights is tactical - it keeps the debate off topic with those in this community who overwhelmingly disagree with marriage being redefined. Again, logically a heterosexual man cannot marry his daughter and a homosexual man cannot marry a man. They are equally forbidden to redefine marriage to accommodate their lifestyle. The Washington State Court of Appeals said: Homosexuals of the same sex are denied the right to marriage licenses because of the nature of marriage itself. In another vein, it seems on the surface that both sides of this debate want to champion Christ and the Bible as their absolute. Is that true?
Candace Chellew Hodge reflects the sentiment nationally for many in the LBGT. In an article titled "Stop Arguing About the Bible and Homosexuality," she writes, "Gays and lesbians will never 'win' the argument over what the Bible says or does not say about homosexuality. The good news is: we don't have to." She sums up the argument in the last paragraph of this article by saying, "We should not be spending our energy arguing the Bible or even worrying if the Bible condemns us as gay and lesbian people. It might well condemn us. But it is a book that also approves of slavery, the division of the races and the subjugation of women. In all of these areas we have heard - and heeded - a fresh revelation from God and disregarded what the Bible does or does not say about these matters without disregarding the Bible itself."
Hodge is the pastor in South Carolina and the author of Bulletproof Faith: A Spiritual Survival Guide for Gay and Lesbian Christians. Hodge is saying conscience is the authority on this matter, not the Bible. The Bible speaks clearly on what sexual immorality is and homosexuality fits into that category. This sin needs forgiveness (which is available) just like the woman caught in adultery, when Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." But Hodge says, "We at least have plenty of evidence to support our argument that Bible writers were talking about abusive sexual practices when they spoke of homosexual acts." Is that evidence available to scholarly review? Check on the web. (Responding to Pro-Gay theology) by Joe Dallas.
In another article Hodge wrote, "It has taken me nearly half of my life to come to understand myself as a loved and blessed child of God who was hardwired by my creator to fall in love with someone of the same gender." The idea of homosexuals being hardwired has dominated much of the conversation. In other words homosexuality is an involuntary disposition, not a choice. This is a very important argument for the gay agenda because it is difficult to claim victim status unless homosexuality is involuntary. The argument goes like this: Knowing as we do now, that race is genetic, has prejudice been eradicated? No. Thus the necessity of equal rights laws. The LBGT seeks the same genetic status. Here are some famous studies that have been hailed by the media and by gay propaganda as "proof" that homosexuality is innate.
Dr. Simon LaVay; Drs. Simon & Rice; Drs. Bailey & Pillard. The authors of each of these concluded failure. They did not prove what they sought to prove: "The consensus of the American Psychiatric Assn. is as follows: Many scientists share the view that sexual orientation is shaped for most people at an early age through complex interactions of biological, psychological and social factors." The gay agenda continues looking for a genetic link, using sex specific epi marks as the next proof of genetic hardwiring. There is no proven science attributed to this theory.
Finally, the biological and health issues should be part of the discussion. Can people of this community be affected by what happens in the privacy of their neighbor's home? Sharing this info with individuals prior to writing the article revealed an anxious discomfort in them hearing such things. Having said this and as uncomfortable as it is, this must be part of the discussion.
This information is from an article called, "Facts About Youth," a project of the American College of Pediatricians and is referenced by over 40 sources. The title of the article is "Male Homosexual Behavior" (2010). This is a must read.
"Anal intercourse is the sine qua non of sex for many gay men. Yet human physiology makes it clear that the body was not designed to accommodate this activity. The rectum is significantly different from the vagina with regard to suitability for penetration by a penis. The vagina has natural lubricants and is supported by a network of muscles. It is composed of a mucus membrane with a multi-layer stratified squamous epithelium that allows it to endure friction without damage and to resist the immunological actions caused by semen and sperm. In comparison, the anus is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an 'exit-only' passage. With repeated trauma, friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal. Consequently, anal intercourse leads to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic. The potential for injury is exacerbated by the fact that the intestine has only a single layer of cells separating it from highly vascular tissue, that is, blood. Therefore, any organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a vagina. The single layer tissue cannot withstand the friction associated with penile penetration, resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids.
"The end result is that the fragility of the anus and rectum, along with the immunosuppressive effect of ejaculate, make anal-genital intercourse a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections. The list of diseases found with extraordinary frequency among male homosexual practitioners as a result of anal intercourse is alarming: Sexual transmission of some of these diseases is so rare in the exclusively heterosexual population as to be virtually unknown. There is an extremely high rate of parasitic and other intestinal infections documented among male homosexual practitioners because of oral-anal contact. In fact, there are so many infections that a syndrome called 'the Gay Bowel' is described in the medical literature.
"The impact of the health consequences of gay sex is not confined to homosexual practitioners. Even though nearly 11 million people in America are directly affected by cancer, compared to slightly more than three-quarters of a million with AIDS, AIDS spending per patient is more than seven times that for cancer. The inequity for diabetes and heart disease is even more striking. Consequently, the disproportionate amount of money spent on AIDS detracts from research into cures for diseases that affect more. These facts reveal our impeccable design is maligned in practicing this lifestyle."
The burden of proof that this lifestyle is not condemned as sin in the Bible and not abnormal in nature lies squarely on the shoulders of the LBGT.

Merits of choice are self evident
Whether in education, or which state I want to live, the merits of choice are self evident in a free society. "One size fits all" was Karl Marx's idea.
