The racing action begins as drivers in the Pepsi Street Stocks get the green flag.

EPHRATA - It was a thrilling night of racing at the Ephrata Raceway Park Saturday night as car and driver hugged the inside turns on the quarter-mile oval looking to gain any kind of advantage on their way to the checkered flag.

The action was fast and furious all night long, but fans did see a few laps under the yellow caution flag as a couple cars spun out on the first turn in the Pepsi Street Stocks and Vintage Modified competition.

No injuries to drivers or damage to cars were reported.

The Jerry's Auto Supply Racing Series Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets, and the Jerry's Auto Supply 360 Wingless Sprints also drew cheers from fans as they competed for points and bragging rights.

All-in-all, it was a great way to cap off the Fourth of July holiday weekend as racing and weather conditions were ideal ... not too warm (mid 80's), and just enough breeze to filter out the typically heavy clouds of exhaust.
