OTHELLO - The Warden man suspected of shooting two men June 23 was found in Othello Friday morning.
Ramon O. Morfin, 19, was arrested at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Fourth Street about 8 a.m. by the U.S. Marshal's Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, Othello Police Department and Adams County Sheriff's Office.
Law enforcement had been searching for Morfin since he allegedly shot two men at a Warden apartment complex last month after a verbal dispute. One man was shot in the leg and the other in the leg and back, according to previous reports. Both men were treated for non-life threatening injuries at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
Morfin, a known gang member, according to a Warden police spokesperson, allegedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Four .22 caliber shell casings were reportedly found by police in the Warden apartment.
Authorities previous said the shooting was a targeted incident.
The Warden Police Department was issued a warrant for Morfin's arrest June 24, one day after the shooting, after witnesses were able to confirm Morfin as the alleged shooter.
Morfin was booked on two counts of first-degree assault in Grant County Superior Court Friday.
