Dean’s list

Uriah Keller, of Columbia Falls, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Bemidji State University, in Bemidji, Minn. Students carrying 12 or more semester hours during any one term and earning at least 3.25 grade point average make the list.

Dean’s list

Four Columbia Falls students were named to Carroll College’s spring 2013 semester dean’s list — Jacob Babcock and Derrick Williams, 4.0 GPA, and Allison Lampman and Nathan Woods. To be included on the dean’s list, a student must receive a 3.5 grade point average or better for the semester and take at least 12 credits.

College grad

Kylah Cech, of Columbia Falls, graduated this spring from North Dakota State University with a bachelor of science degree in sociology.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
