COEUR d'ALENE - The family drama "Slow Fade," directed by Coeur d'Alene's Ryan Anstett, will make its local debut at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center on Saturday at 7 p.m.

There will be a red-carpet gala at 6:30 p.m. and questions and answers afterward.

The film, which is not rated, features local talent and was shot in the Coeur d'Alene and Spokane areas, won an honorable mention award at the Sunset Film Festival in Los Angeles and an Audience Choice Award at the Albuquerque Film and Media Experience.

The film is about small twists that make a big impact on lives. Thomas, the main actor, finds a mentor, which gives him new insights on life.

"To have the film completed and now distributed nationally and worldwide blows my mind," Anstett said.

Tickets are $10 and sold at the Kroc Center front desk and at kroccda.org.

The movie will be available soon at several retailers, including Walmart, Target and Hastings. It is already available at Amazon.com.
