CLACKAMAS, Ore. - Devin Kluss hit a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning for the class AA Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen, which fell to Lake Oswego 3-2 in the opening game of pool play in the Clackamas Diamond Classic on Thursday.

"We just couldn't get the bats going at the start of the game," Coeur d'Alene coach Lloyd Duman said. "Toward the end of the game, we got them going a little bit."

Coeur d'Alene had runners on second and third with one out in the seventh, but were unable to score the tying run.

"We just couldn't get it done," Duman said. "But it was very positive that we came back from a three-run deficit and actually gave ourselves a chance to win. It was a fun game to be a part of."

Coeur d'Alene (9-23) will face Gresham (Ore.) today at 12:15 p.m., and will begin double-elimination bracket play with a game at either 3 or 5:45 today, depending on the outcome.
