Mariners whip Edmonton in John R. Harp Tournament

Jeremiah Crawford homered and doubled twice in three plate appearances to lead the Mission Valley Mariners to an 18-5 victory over the Edmonton Cardinals Friday night in the John R. Harp American Legion baseball tournament at Griffin Field.
Crawford finished with five RBIs.
Mission Valley led 9-3 after two innings and scored nine times in the sixth.
TJ Olson went 2 for 4 and also homered and doubled for the Mariners.
Alex Killian, 2 for 4, doubled twice for the Mission Valley.
Zeke Webster-Yaqui, 3 for 5, and Bransen Krebs, 2 for 4, also doubled for the hot-hitting Mariners, who totaled 17 hits.
Webster-Yaqui went the distance on the mound to pick up the victory. He had four strikeouts and walked two batters.
Edmonton had five hits in the contest.
The Mariners are back in action today versus Vauxhall at noon and then again at 5 p.m. versus Asotin. Both games are at Griffin Field.
