CLACKAMAS, Ore. - Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen pitcher Joe Roletto took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, but a single by Nolan Minter with two outs gave Westview (Ore.) a 3-2 win in bracket play of the "AA" Clackamas Diamond Classic on Saturday.

Roletto - who also had two hits - had seven strikeouts, but had 10 walks, and walked in the tying run in the eighth inning.

"He battled through some tough innings every once in a while," Coeur d'Alene pitching coach Zach Clanton said. "It was a really exciting game and probably the most exciting game we've played all year."

Later, Coeur d'Alene was eliminated from the wood bat tournament with an 11-0 loss to Clackamas.

"We didn't really rebound from a heartbreaking loss," Clanton said. "You could tell the kids were bummed and it carried over a little into the second game."
