Cabela’s plans to hire approximately 125 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees to staff its Kalispell Outpost Store that’s scheduled to open this fall.

Applications must be submitted online. Anyone interested in applying should visit www.cabelas.jobs, click on “Apply Now,” then “United States Jobs.” Then follow instructions to log in and follow the application process.

Interviews will begin Aug. 7 and continue through Aug. 10. Applying does not guarantee an interview.

Most employees are expected to come from Kalispell and the surrounding area.

“We are looking for customer service-oriented employees who are passionate about the outdoors and want to share their expertise with our loyal customers across the region,” said David Hayward, general manager of the new store.

“The ideal candidate is a hard worker who lives the Cabela’s lifestyle, someone who will deliver the legendary customer service for which Cabela’s is known.”

Hayward, who has more than 10 years of retail managerial experience, joined Cabela’s in 2012. He worked at the company’s Glendale, Ariz., store before accepting the position in Kalispell.

The 42,000-square-foot Kalispell Outpost Store is Cabela’s second Montana location, joining the Billings store.

The Kalispell store is being built near West Reserve Drive along U.S. 93.

Currently, Cabela’s operates 44 stores across North America with plans to open an additional 16 over the next two years.
