EPHRATA — From jazz to country and swing, the Basin Summer Sounds festival offers live music for all ears in Ephrata Friday and Saturday. And it’s free.

The two-day festival includes two national headliners as well as many regional and local acts that will play in front of the Grant County Courthouse in downtown Ephrata.

Seattle band Once Upon a Tuesday kicks off the music at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by The Lonely Forest, an indie rock band from Anacortes, at 7 p.m.

Friday night’s headliner is singer-songwriter Steve Holy, who has had two No. 1 hits on the Billboard country charges with his songs “Good Morning Beautiful” and “Brand New Girlfriend.” Holy will take the stage at 9 p.m.

Saturday’s music begins at 11:30 a.m. with Ian McFeron, followed by Pearl Django at 1 p.m. and Rough Stock at 2:30 p.m.

DoctorfunK takes the stage at 4 p.m., The Chris Eger Band at 5:30, followed by Hamilton Loomis at 7 p.m.

Saturday night’s festivities end with the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, the Oregon-based retro rock band known for their 1997 hit “Zoot Suit Riot.” The group is currently on tour with its sixth studio album, “White Teeth Black Thoughts.”

Along with the full listing of bands, the festival also includes a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, a car and cycle show in downtown Saturday, food vendors and other family-friendly activities.
