KPBX Kids' Concert today at the Kroc

Today at noon, KPBX Kids' Concerts presents Sing-Along with Dan Maher in a free family concert, fun for all ages, in the performing arts theater at The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene. The program lasts for one hour and directions can be found on SPR's website, www.kpbx.org.

Northwest folk music icon Dan Maher will interact with families through song and share his passion and knowledge about the history of the music that helped to define a generation of Americans.

Inland Folk with Dan Maher is a radio show produced, edited, engineered and hosted by Maher on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, where it is also broadcast on Northwest Public Radio. Inland Folk airs on Spokane Public Radio station KPBX 91.1 FM, Sundays from 3-4 p.m., continuing from 8-10 p.m. Maher has performed music throughout the Northwest for decades and works full-time for WSU in the Student Involvement office.

This summer, KPBX Kids' Concerts celebrates 20 years of bringing music and performances to families. Eight free one-hour concerts are held throughout the year at rotating venues. At each concert, attendees are treated to a mix of music and historical information. Past concerts have featured classical, jazz, big band, bluegrass, Latin, calypso, reggae, klezmer, rockabilly, historical movies, and lots more.
