WHITEFISH, Mont. - Joe Roletto had four hits, including two home runs, as the AA Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen implemented the 10-run rule on the Glacier Twins in the eighth inning, 11-1, of a scheduled nine-inning nonleague baseball game Thursday.
Coeur d'Alene (14-25) finished with 18 hits.
"We were hitting the ball very well today," Coeur d'Alene coach Lloyd Duman said.
Other notables were Michael Hicks and Gibson Green, who each had four hits; Devin Kluss, who tallied three; and Jake Gonzales, who hit a pair of doubles.
The game was the first of a two-day stint in Montana, as the team faces the Kalispell Lakers today in another nine-inning game at 4 p.m.
"So far it's working out how we wanted," said Duman, whose team ran out to a 7-1 lead after three innings. "We were working to get our pitching rotation set for districts and were working with our relief pitchers and each of them got the innings we wanted them to get."
Included in that rotation were Derek Griffin, Elliott Sparks and Shawn Montee.
