Kirtlye, left, and Lynon Lohof opened the Whitefish Hostel on June 30. They wanted to create the kind of welcoming atmosphere they have appreciated during their own hostel stays throughout the world.

Latham-Bennett raised more than $4,000 for Special Olympics of Montana by running from Libby to Kalispell.
