Physical Therapy is for children too

A common misconception is that physical therapy is just for adults. This is not true; in fact physical therapy can be very beneficial for individuals of all ages including teenagers, toddlers and even infant children.
Most think of children as being too resilient to fall victim to an injury or pain that would require physical therapy. However, pediatric and adolescent physical therapy can assist in the early detection of health problems as well as the diagnosis, treatment and management of injuries. Children can be affected by a variety of pains, or disorders that affect their muscles, bones and joints. With physical therapy children can improve growth and fine tune motor skills, balance and coordination, as well as strength and endurance so they may safely participate in activities at home, in the classroom, and on the playground.
Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine offers physical therapy services for children of all ages. Our staff works with patients and families to help each child achieve his or her optimal functional levels. Our physical therapists are concerned with children's ability to take part in important movement activities such as crawling and walking, running, playing games, participating in sports, and other physical interactions. We have therapists that specialize in the treatment of tortacollis, scoliosis, sports injuries, and many other conditions that children and adolescents may face. Just because a child is young, doesn't mean that they will heal on their own.
Don't let a minor injury lead to a potentially permanent condition. Call Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in either Coeur d'Alene (208) 665-2000 or Post Falls (208) 777-4242 to schedule your child's appointment. We accept most types of insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. We also offer extended business hours to accommodate your family's busy schedules.
