Speedway GM becomes part-owner

STATELINE - Larry Bertrand, who has been general manager and promoter of Stateline Speedway since January 2012, is now also part owner of the business.

Bertrand is now an owner of the limited liability corporation that owns the speedway and a partner of Bill Slayden.

"Bill is the smartest person I have ever met and having the opportunity to work with him and continue to learn from him is more than I could ever ask for," Bertrand said in a press release.

Slayden became owner of the speedway in 2011.

Slayden, 66, credited Bertrand and his team for providing a quality experience for the racers, support crew and fans.

"I have had a much better experience in the small track atmosphere and have had my best experiences over the last year at Stateline," said Slayden, who travels to race tracks and races cars across the nation.
