Eileen Marie (Doyle, Detherage) Dionne, 68, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away at Kootenai Health on July 22, 2013. Eileen was born March 2, 1945, in Yuma, Ariz., to Dr. George Doyle and Joyce (Evans) Doyle.

She was raised in Wallace and graduated from Holy Names High School. She moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University. She moved to Longview, Wash., in 1966 with her first husband, Ken Detherage, whom she had a daughter, Shannon, with. She returned to Coeur d’Alene in 1977 for business opportunities and to be closer with family. In 1990, she married her current husband, Douglas Dionne on May 2 in Coeur d’Alene. In 1980 she began her food service career at Duff’s in Spokane, she continued at the Iron Horse, The Wheel in Bayview and Powder River. Before retirement, she finished her career working at the Fairwinds and Loyalton Retirement Centers.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Dionne; daughter Shannon Bennett and husband Scott of Hayden; grandson Walter George Bennett of Hayden; stepson Jeremy Dionne and family; stepmother Grace Doyle of Coeur d’Alene; stepsister Kathy Nierenberg and husband Fred of Cheney, Wash.; stepbrother Darrell Hand and wife Connie of Troy, Mont.; cousins, Jim Bloom, and Pam Samples and husband Dick of Kellogg. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Kathleen Doyle and her aunt, Patricia Doyle Bloom.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Rose Lake Cemetery.
