Terry Lee Brown, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in San Francisco, Calif., on July 15, 2013, from cancer.
Terry was born in Spokane on Nov. 19, 1951. He grew up and attended school in Post Falls. He attended Spokane Community College and studied art. He moved to San Francisco in the late 1970s where he became quite successful in interior and food design, and at one time designed background for 7UP commercials aboard the Queen Mary. After attending barber school Terry bought and ran his own barber shop in San Francisco.
He loved to travel and spent a good amount of time exploring Europe. Paris was his favorite city. He was a fun-loving, kind and gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him.
Terry leaves behind his closest friend and partner, Steven Woods of San Francisco; his father, John Brown of Hauser Lake; sister Carolyn Brown of Post Falls and sister Sue Burke (Brown) of Carson City, Nev. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike and mother June Brown. Terry also leaves behind various beloved aunts, uncle, nieces and nephew, cousins and many friends.
His ashes will be laid to rest at Mt. Angel Abbey in Mt. Angel, Ore., where his dearest cousin, (who was more like his brother) Brother Claude (Danny) Lane resides.
