Barry Jarstad, 64, passed away July 27, 2013, in Hayden. He was born January 28, 1949, in Coeur d’Alene to Everett and Bea Jarstad. He lived in Coeur d’Alene most of his life except for a short period in Denver. Barry built houses in the area until he went to work 30 years ago at the Spokane International Business Park as the Construction and Maintenance Supervisor.
His favorite hobby was woodworking. He also volunteered with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department until his illness.
He was diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer June 15, 2012. He put up a very strong fight with the incurable cancer.
Barry leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Diane; a son, Chris Jarstad (wife Katie) of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Amanda Jarstad of Seattle; a sister, Bev DeSomma of Coeur d’Alene; his mother, Bea Jarstad of Coeur d’Alene; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Jarstad.
He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.

A Memorial Service will be held at the English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 1:00pm.
