POST FALLS - A pair of theft suspects believed to have struck the Walmart on Mullan Avenue in Post Falls four times recently has been arrested.
Orlando Jaramillo, 22, and his girlfriend Tetyana Landrus, 20, both of Spokane, are suspected of stealing $2,200 worth of electronics over the past two weeks.
"They would secure the items in a bag, walk past all the points of sale and leave in a car," Post Falls police Capt. Pat Knight said. "It seems to be a way of life for them."
The two were arrested at gunpoint without incident near the police station in Post Falls on Sunday afternoon shortly after their latest alleged burglary involving a computer.
"We weren't able to obtain a license plate number until now," Knight said, referring to the green Ford Contour that the two used in all of the alleged incidents.
In the latest alleged incident, Walmart security contacted police and provided the vehicle description and license number.
The suspects also have a theft history in previous years. Jaramillo was wanted on a felony warrant in Washington for robbery.
Jaramillo was booked into jail on charges of burglary, the warrant and providing false information to a police officer. Landrus was arrested for conspiracy to commit burglary.
An infant girl, who Landrus claimed is her daughter and was in the vehicle, was placed in a shelter, according to the police report.
Landrus told police she recently purchased the Contour used in the alleged burglaries, but the registered owner told police Landrus borrowed the vehicle in March and never returned it.
