Glacier Symphony’s Festival Amadeus will be in Whitefish all week, starting Sunday.

The sixth annual event celebrates classical music and the people who perform it. Guest performers and teachers will spend a week working with local music students and giving concerts for local audiences.

In addition to a full week of concerts each night at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center, a host of free music events will also be open to the public during the week of Festival Amadeus, which begins Sunday in Whitefish.

Selected rehearsals of the Festival Amadeus chamber ensembles will be available, along with a chance to observe a piano workshop, hear several guest artists speak about their musical journey and a recital by students attending Camp Festival Amadeus, North Valley Music School’s chamber music camp held concurrently during the week.

Following is a basic schedule of the week’s events. For more information, including ticket information for evening concerts, visit gscmusic.org or call 407-7000.
