Baseball: Mission Valley Mariners sweep at Missoula

MISSOULA — The Mission Valley Mariners swept a doubleheader with the Missoula Pioneers Saturday, winning game one 10-3 and taking game two 6-4.

A seven-run fifth inning boosted the Mariners in the opener and Jeremiah Crawford delivered a two-run double to break a tie in the eighth inning of game two.

Brennan Andrews, Bransen Krebs and Keith Woodward each recorded two hits in game one. Starting pitcher Ryan Pablo picked up the win, allowing one earned run on five hits in 5 1-3 innings.

Zeke Webster-Yaqui batted 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI to lead Mission Valley in game two. Crawford went 2 for 5 with a double, a home run and two RBIs.

Relief pitcher JT Probst earned the win, allowing one hit in four scoreless innings. Starter Aaron Rasmussen gave up one earned run on three hits in three innings.

The Mariners host the Pioneers today at 1 p.m.
