PRIEST RIVER — An adult and two juveniles have been implicated in a pair of burglaries that were perpetrated last month.

Nathan Cole Fry, Joshua Glen Johnson and Jonathan Michael Stayton are each facing two counts of burglary for break-ins at the Priest River Senior Citizen Center and Mac’s Gas & Grocery, documents filed in Bonner County Magistrate Court indicate.

Word of the heists spread quickly and an offer of a cash reward for information on the culprits appeared to loosen lips in town, according to Priest River Police reports.

The senior center was burglarized and vandalized on May 13, while the gas station and deli was broken into on May 14.

Fire extinguishers were discharged at the senior center and case donations for the food bank were taken. Cartons of cigarettes, a rack of lighters, some alcohol and other miscellaneous items were taken from Mac’s.

Fry, 20, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday in adult court. The cases against Stayton, 17, and Johnson, 16, are being prosecuted in juvenile court.

Fry is being held at the Bonner County Jail with bail set at $20,000. A public defender has been appointed to represent him, court records show. Johnson and Stayton were ordered held at the county’s juvenile lockup and denials of the charges have been entered in their cases.
