Bomb threat reported at EWU in Cheney

CHENEY, Wash. — Police are responding to a bomb threat on the Eastern Washington University campus.  School leaders confirmed the threat at about 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday.??EWU leaders said the threat forced them to evacuate part of campus.  Multiple classes were evacuated at EWU. The threat impacted the buildings which house communication, music and theater classes.??A student who claimed to have found the note told KREM 2 News that the threat read “"bomb at 10:30 in comm. building." She and a friend turned it into the office. The student estimated that hundreds of students were evacuated. ??School leaders sent out a school-wide text alert to notify EWU students about the threat. The text read, “Bomb Threat Art Complex on EWU main campus. Buildings in immediate area have been evacuated. Stay clear of area.
