UGM luncheon Friday

The Union Gospel Mission in Coeur d'Alene is hosting an inspirational luncheon/fundraiser Friday at 11:30 at their Center for Women and Children, 196 W. Haycraft Ave.
Tickets are $30 each. RSVPs are requested and can be made by visiting the nonprofit's website, http://www.uniongospelmission.org/
The funds will help support the center, which opened its doors in September 2012.
It is the first long-term, residential recovery center for women with children in Kootenai County.
It provides a safe, home-like setting in which women can confront and explore issues like abuse, addiction and homelessness.
Resources offered include food, shelter, clothing, therapy, life skills classes, Bible study, educational and vocational training and a medical clinic.
