Idaho Thunder under-11 boys (Halseth/Doty): The Thunder won its division at the Three Blind Refs tournament last weekend in Kalispell, Mont.

In their first game the Thunder defeated the KEYSA Rovers from Canada 8-0. Goals were scored by Max Smith, Cameron Calabretto, Jadyn Freeman, Alex Lycan, Gavin McLuskie and Jalen Skalskiy scored one goal each, and Tristan Delbridge scored two. Assists were made from Max Smith, Ben Blakely, Jadyn Freeman, Gavin McFeely. Max Smith posted the shutout in goal.

The Thunder then beat the Sandpoint Strikers 19-1. Gavin McLuskie scored four goals, Max Smith three, Cameron Calabretto, Jadyn Freeman, Tristan Delbridge, Jalen Skalskiy, and Alex Lycan scored two goals each, and Gavin McFeely and Seth Neely each scored one. Jalen Skalskiy had three assists, Jadyn Freeman, Gavin McFeely, and Carson Jacobsen each had two, and Cameron Calabretto and Alex Lycan each had one.

In the semifinals, the Thunder beat Fernie, British Columbia, 8-4. Cameron Calabretto scored two goals, and Gavin McLuskie, Jadyn Freeman, Seth Neely, Tristan Delbridge, Alex Lycan and Jalen Skalskiy each had a goal. Cameron Calabretto had three assists, Jadyn Freeman two.

In the title game, the Thunder beat the Sandpoint Strikers 4-3. Jalen Skalskiy had two goals and an assist, and Gavin McLuskie and Ben Blakely each scored once.

Coeur d'Alene Sting U14 girls (Roma): The Sting won its division at the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., last weekend.

On Saturday the Sting beat Calgary 4-0. Trisha McDonald, Elaine Vedder Kayla Fagan and Madeline Hennig each had goals, and Morgan Bixenstein earned the shutout in goal. Later that day the Sting tied Polson 1-1 with Skylar Porto scoring the only goal for the Sting.

The Sting beat Missoula 2-0 in the semifinals. Mary Nicklay knocked in one goal with an assist by Skylar Porto, and Elaine Vedder scored Sting's other goal.

In the championship game, the Sting faced Polson again and ended regulation play in a 2-2 tie. After two rounds of overtime didn't lead to a winner, the teams faced each other in a shootout. The shootout ended in a 2-2 tie, with goals by Maya Burgess and Kyla Trumble. The Sting finally won the game in sudden death with goals by Mary Nicklay and Bryce Martin.

Sting U12 girls (Arsenal): The Sting won the U13B bracket of the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., last weekend.

On Saturday the Sting beat the KEYSA Rovers 2-0 with a goal by Maddie Morris with an assist from Sarah Swider, and another goal by Kiah Morton. Later that day the Sting beat the Newport Avalance 6-0. Sarah Swider had two goals and Erika Skindlov, Lexi Medina, CeAnna Murphy and Maddie Morris each had one.

On Sunday the Sting beat Calgary SW United Barca 3-0, as Chloe Teets scored a hat trick.

In the championship game Sting defeated the Sandpoint Strikers (McNeley) 2-0. Chloe Teets knocked one in and Sarah Swider had the other goal with an assist by Katie Venera. Jojo Zaragoza was the shutout goalie in all four games.

Sting U10 boys (Sunderland): The Sting wrapped up their spring season finishing third in their division at the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., last weekend.

The Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers (Lange) 12-4 and the Calgary Blizzard 6-3 on Saturday. On Sunday, Sunderland lost to the Sting Timbers 6-1. They ended with a victory over Sandpoint Strikers (Lange) 12-3 to place third overall.

Christopher Swider, Chuck Norris, and Rylan Carter had five goals each for the Sting in the tourney. Max Anderson, Cooper Larson and Owen Smith each scored three goals, Mason Paskett and Daniel Rojo scored two each, and Connor Waddell, Noah Morton, Martin Bene and Tanner Hornby had one goal each. Martin Bene had 21 saves, Owen Smith 11, Michael Simpson eight.

Thunder U10 boys (Johnson): The Thunder placed third in the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., last weekend. The Thunder won their first two games 13-4 and 10-3, then lost their third game in a shootout.

Devin Logan scored six goals in the tourney for the Thunder, Logan Koller added five, Koby Johnson and Lance Gilmor four each, Josh Nilson three, Nate Durocher two, and Caleb Calkins, Ethan Johnson, Logan Davis and Micheal Schlotthauer on each.

BASKETBALL

T-Wolf camp nears: Lake City High School coaches are putting on a girls basketball camp June 17-20 from 9 a.m. to noon for girls entering grades 1-9.

Cost is $50, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Free camp nears: The coaching staff of the North Idaho Christian girls basketball team will put on its eighth annual free camp at Real Life church in Post Falls.

The camp, scheduled for June 24-26, is for beginners as well as established players. Girls entering grades 5-8 will go from 9 to 11 a.m., and girls entering grades 9-12 will go from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Organizers are anticipating their 1,000th camper this year.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

Free camp nears: The Coeur d Alene Association of Realtors has set up a free baseball/softball clinic for boys and girls ages 6-12. The clinic will be at Coeur d'Alene High School on June 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers need to have registration received by Friday, and registration is limited to the first 75 who sign up.

The registration form is available by emailing alij@cdarealtors.com and upon completion email or fax back to Ali at 664-8529.

Campers will receive a free T-shirt as well as hot dogs, chips, cookie and drink at the end of the clinic.
