The Flathead Valley Community College Art Department will present Big Night 3 at 6 p.m. June 21.

It’s an event to raise money for student scholarships for its sixth annual Semester in Venice program. The event will take place in the Arts and Technology Building.

The scholarships are given to students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in the program. Last year’s event raised enough money to provide three students with $4,000 La Serenissima Scholarships for study-abroad expenses in Venice.

The evening will include an Italian-inspired feast created by students of the Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC and instructor Chef Howard Karp.

In addition to coffee and tea service, a no-host bar with specially selected Italian wines to complement dinner will be available. The event also will feature an Italian-themed live auction and a short program about FVCC’s Semester in Venice.

Tickets are $75 per person, $40 of which is tax deductible. Guests must be at least 21 unless accompanied by an adult.

For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.fvcc.edu/bignight.html or call 756-3632.

For more information on the Semester in Venice program, contact FVCC art instructor and coordinator John Rawlings at 756-3896 or at [email protected].
