College president plans series of community conversations

Flathead Valley Community College President Jane Karas invites the community to public forums to have Community Conversations this month:

Monday, June 17, from noon to 1 p.m. at Tamarack Brewing Co. in Lakeside.

Thursday, June 20, from noon to 1 p.m. at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish.

Friday, June 21, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Cafe Jax in Eureka and noon to 1 p.m. at the Venture Motor Inn in Libby.

Tuesday, June 25, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Nite Owl in Columbia Falls and from noon to 1 p.m. in room BH 140 on the main campus in Kalispell.

Thursday, June 27, from noon to 1 p.m. at Grille 459 in Bigfork.

Climate change awards announced

Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
