LEGION BASEBALL: Lums split with Twins

LEWISTON - Devin Kluss hit a two-run triple and Suraj Kedia added a two-run double to lift the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen over the Lewis-Clark Twins 12-1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday.
Errors caught up to Coeur d'Alene in the nightcap, and the Twins came away with a 5-3 victory.
"Our intensity dropped in the second game," Coeur d'Alene coach Lloyd Duman said, "And we booted the ball around in the sixth, and they took advantage."
The Lums (3-8, 2-2 class AA North Idaho League) begin play at the Apple Cup Tourney on Friday in Wenatchee, facing Anderson at 10:30 a.m., and then Riverdogs at 1. The tourney continues through Sunday.
