MOSES LAKE - Two people were injured in a crash Tuesday morning when one of the drivers may have fallen asleep heading north on Airway Drive in Moses Lake, crossing into an oncoming car.

About 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to the 4800 block of Airway Drive, just off of state Route 17 in Moses Lake. According to the sheriff's office, Cato Nelson, 23, of Moses Lake, was heading north on Airway Drive in a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am when he possibly fell asleep, causing his vehicle to cross the center line. His vehicle then struck a 2001 Honda Accord driven by Kacie Ogg, 21, of Moses Lake.

Both cars were towed from the scene.

Ogg and Nelson were treated at the scene, with Ogg suffering a possible broken nose when her car's airbag deployed.

She was later taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment, according to the sheriff's office.

Both were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Nelson will be cited by the Sheriff's Motor Traffic Unit for improper lane travel and the unit is recommending charges with the prosecutor's office against Nelson for third-degree driving while license suspended, according to the sheriff's office.
