FREE LUNCH: Thanks to all involved

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 5th annual Vernon Baker Free Lunch for Veterans this Memorial Day. Our participating restaurants were Michael D's Eatery, Capone's Pubs (Hayden, Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls locations) and Fedora's Pub & Grille.

Our local Edward Jones office volunteers included: Eric Soles, Julie Bailey, Scarlet Kelso and Patti and Charlie Leach. We received a total of $670 in donations from Jason Graham, USSVI Faragut Base, Jerry and Kathy Parker, James and Suzanna Bower, Richard and Julia Leach, Dick Wandrocke, Dave and Sue Nussear, Sandra Kay's, Kevin Smith, Namsik Smith, Tad and Sue Leach, Tom Leach and Dick and Julie Leach. We were logistically supported by VFW Post 889 in Coeur d'Alene.

Thanks to all these great volunteers, donors, and participants, we were able to feed 210 veterans for free! Thank you all for supporting such a good cause and thank you to anyone who has sacrificed in order to protect American freedoms.

LANDON: Support means so much

Thank you, two little words that mean so much! The Renovators, Matt and Rose Backs, Dave Walker, The Coeur d'Alene Eagles, Hospice of North Idaho, Friends of Landons and this entire community spent an evening putting on a benefit for 6-year-old Landon Burt, and it was amazing! I was afraid we were going to have to tell people there was no more room in the ballroom. We had donations walking in the door and so much stuff people didn't know what to bid on first! It was incredible. We know that Tracy and Landon would like to thank each of you for your love and support, it truly means the world to them. Landon's battle with leukemia will continue, but you all have helped make that path a little bit easier for both of them.

Thank you,

CINDY SCHNEIDER and MICKI ALBRECHT
