   An American Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, at the Libby Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1548.

   The blood drive will run from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the VFW, which is located at 114 West Second St. in Libby.

   While walk-ins are always welcome, the Red Cross stresses for the sake of ease of donors to schedule an appointment. Persons wishing to make an appointment may call Gloria Byrnes at 293-5233.

   Summertime is a critical time for blood donations as demand typically goes up while the frequency of donating diminishes.
