Habitat for Humanity home available; applicants are sought
The Western News | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 11 years, 7 months AGO
There is still time this summer for a family looking to live in a Habitat for Humanity home.
According to the Kootenai Valley Partners for Habitat for Humanity, a former recipient of a home on Idaho Street in Libby has taken a job elsewhere, and now that home is available.
Interested families must contact either Nancy Chalgren at 293-7006 or Dean Knisely at 293-3502. Chalgren is chairwoman of the Family Select Committee and Knisely is a member of the board of directors.
The Idaho Avenue location is a three-bedroom home, and Chalgren says they are looking for just the right size family for this residence.
The family will be selected early this summer.
The Kootenai Valley Partners for Habitat for Humanity is the local chapter of an international group.
In Lincoln County, Habitat for Humanity is in the process of building its 10th home in 20 years.
The latest home is being constructed now with occupancy expected by late summer.
The home on Idaho Avenue was built in 2007.
“They should call me so we can have a consultation,” Chalgren said. “It’s not too late to apply.”
