Jean Chalk, 75, died March 22, 2013, at the Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born March 26, 1937, in Deer Isle, Maine.
Jean grew up in Maine and moved to Inglewood, Calif., in 1959 where she worked as a grocery store checker for several years. She later became a bookkeeper for an aircraft company for approximately 25 years. Jean married Howard Chalk on Aug. 4, 1968. They moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1997. Howard preceded her in death in August 1998. She enjoyed artistry, fishing and camping.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
