Cd'A IRS office closes Friday

The last day tax help will be offered at the Internal Revenue Service's Taxpayer Assistance Center in Coeur d'Alene is Friday.
The center, 1221 W. Ironwood Drive, will shut its doors at 4:30 p.m. and remain closed as part of the IRS's rent reduction program.
The nearest IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center will now be located in Spokane at the Thomas S. Foley U.S. Courthouse, 920 W. Riverside Ave.
The Spokane center is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Hours of operation and available services for all Taxpayer Assistance Centers are listed at www.irs.gov/localcontacts. This site includes a local telephone number which can be used to learn about available and alternate services and to reschedule appointments with IRS personnel.
Visiting an IRS office is not the only option available for Federal tax help. The IRS recommends its website, www.irs.gov, as a source of services. Taxpayers can also call (800) 829-1040 for tax help, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
