Prairie falls in Northwest pair, Coeur d'Alene gets rained out

POST FALLS - Logan Bruner had two hits for the Prairie Cardinals, which lost their Best of the Northwest tournament opener against the Club Spokane Dodgers 11-2 on Wednesday at Post Falls High.
Logan Bruner, Derek Hansen and Trevor Hammell had singles for Prairie In their second game of the day, a 9-1 loss to the Tri-County Outlaws.
Prairie (2-13) will face the Krushers of Auburn, Wash., today at 5:30 p.m. in their next pool play game.
Coeur d'Alene had both of their games on Wednesday rained out at Ramsey Park in Coeur d'Alene.
They are scheduled to resume today with Coeur d'Alene facing Wilkinson Academy of Sammamish, Wash., tonight at 7 p.m. at Ramsey Park and will attempt to make up the rainouts on Friday as they can fit games into the schedule.
