Coke gives Royal High's Jolinda Davis Educator of Distinction Award

ROYAL CITY - Jolinda Davis has been given the Coca-Cola Scholars Program Educator of Distinction Award in recognition of the importance of her commitment, dedication and service to Royal Slope youth.

When asked to designate someone who has had a profound impact on his life, Royal Honor Society student and 2013 Coca-Cola Scholar Luis Fernando Valenzuela chose Davis.

"Not only for your advice but also because of your support, I have the confidence to pursue my dreams in life," Valenzuela said. "You have allowed me to see my own potential as well as inspire me to do well in life."

Davis said: "I was very moved by the nomination and the honor of receiving the Educator of Distinction Award from Coca-Cola."

Superintendent Rose Search said: "Congratulations Jolinda for receiving this honor and for being a fine example of the caring, dedicated staff at Royal School District. Job well done."
