Home-schooled Fissori to attend Harvard master's program

Recently selected by Chicago Public Schools and Teach for America-Chicago, Christina Fissori of Chicago was awarded the competitive School Leadership Fellowship and admitted to the masters of education in School Leadership at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
Fissori, who works as the Special Education Department chair at Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men in Chicago, will begin the masters program in August and has committed to return to Chicago upon graduation to work as a principal for the district.
At last count, the Chicago district manages about 600 public schools. Chicago Public Schools is currently the third largest school district in the country, with more than 400,000 students.
Home-schooled through high school, Fissori is a 2005 graduate of Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, N.D. She is the daughter of Mike and Sydney Fissori of Libby.
