SPOKANE - Logan Bruner delivered a two-out double to score Jeremy McKinney from first base in the bottom of the seventh inning, capping a four-run outburst that lifted the Prairie Cardinals past the Spokane Bandits 5-4 in the first game of the Whitworth Summer Series on Thursday at Whitworth University's Merkel Field.

Bruner hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to score Prairie's first run.

"We played well defensively," Prairie coach Dustin Frank said. "James Prockish and Derek Hansen had great offensive approaches. Logan Bruner hit the ball very well. Kris Jackson made some show time plays for us defensively."
