Todd Christensen has joined Secured Investment Corp, a Coeur d'Alene-based private money lender, as its executive vice president of marketing and business development.

The company reports it is one of the fastest growing businesses of its kind in the United States.

Christensen was recruited to lead Secured Investment Corp's accelerated growth and to be part of the executive team to fully develop their Cogo Capital franchise business strategy.

"I am excited to be a part of the entrepreneurial spirit of Secured Investment Corp and Cogo Capital," said Christensen, in a press release. "To use my experience and expertise to help fully develop a unique company in the financial services sector is an incredible opportunity."

Cogo Capital provides asset-based lending to investors looking for funding on non-owner occupied residential and commercial investment deals. Their loans are evaluated with asset-based standards, as opposed to the conventional standards utilized by banks and other institutions. This provides funding opportunities for those who do not meet the stringent requirements and guidelines of banks and more traditional lenders.

Currently Secured Investment Corp owns and operates Cogo Capital Spokane, their first brick and mortar location. Additional locations are planned, including one in Orange County, Calif., later this summer.

"We are excited to have Todd join our leadership team and lead our marketing and business development strategies," said Lee Arnold, chief executive officer of Secured Investment Corp. "He brings a strong background of marketing, media relations and executive leadership to our team."

Christensen's professional experience in those areas spans 20 years. He previously worked with the Australian Securities and Exchange Commission, and led three community-based organizations including the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce where he served as president and CEO.

Prior to moving back to Idaho, his home state, Christensen worked as the vice president of marketing for Bank of the Pacific in Washington State. He also led a regional chamber of commerce in southwest Washington and an economic development corporation in southern Idaho.

Christensen lives in Coeur d'Alene with his wife, Pamela, and their four children.
