MOSES LAKE - Two Moses Lake men were arrested by the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) Thursday on cocaine-related drug charges.
INET and Grant County sheriff's deputies served three search warrants at 1207 Patton Blvd. in Moses Lake. A Grant County Superior Court judge authorized a search warrant for Alexander Zambrano Hernandez, his vehicle and residence, according to a press release issued Thursday. His vehicle was seized for facilitation of a drug transaction.
Zambrano, 30, of Moses Lake is alleged to have been selling cocaine from his home and vehicle to INET detectives on multiple occasions. He is also alleged to have been selling cocaine within a school zone, which if convicted, adds an additional mandatory two years in prison. Several children live at the Patton Boulevard home, according to Sheriff Tom Jones.
Zambrano's brother, Julio Zambrano, 21, of Moses Lake was also arrested for possession of cocaine. The brothers are citizens of Mexico and illegally residing in the U.S., according to Jones.
Alexander Zambrano is facing charges of possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver in a school zone, all of which are felonies.
"I am really happy about these arrests since children were living in that home," Jones said. "This case required great cooperation between all agencies, and they need to be recognized for their great work."
INET, Grant County Sheriff's Office, Moses Lake police and Homeland Security all contributed to the investigation.
