Low McEuen bid: $14.6 million

The lowest bid for the McEuen Field contract is $14.6 million, submitted by Contractors Northwest Inc. The Coeur d’Alene-based firm was the lowest of the six contractors who bid for the downtown park project reconstruction job.

The bids, opened at 2 p.m. today, does not include seven add alternates components of the project, such as colored concrete on Front Avenue. Those would add another $699,750 to the project. Park designers will review all the bids before making a recommendation to the City Council Thursday. The Council will vote on the project at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The highest base bid was $17.7 million, submitted by the company Apollo, out of Washington.
