RAVALLI - A scary accident near the Ravalli curves slowed traffic for several hours along Highway 93 on Tuesday afternoon.

Eight people were involved in the collision when a northbound van carrying five Lake County students strayed across the center line and side-swiped a pickup truck with three passengers heading in the opposite direction.

Law enforcement officials reported that no one sustained serious injuries in the crash, although one occupant of the van was taken to a hospital for precautionary purposes. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no citations have yet been issued.
