THOMPSON FALLS - Lance Pavlik, former Thompson Falls golf coach and Thompson Falls School Board vice-chair is scheduled to appear in Sanders County District Court on Tuesday, March 12 for his sentencing.
Pavlik pled guilty in January to four felony counts for which he was charged following the investigation of a crash involving Pavlik in early September. Investigators found Pavlik had .245 BAC in his system at the time of the crash, which occured on Prospect Creek Road in Thompson Falls, and resulted in the deaths of Christina Jackson and Jeremiah Bennett of Thompson Falls. Bennett’s children, Mya and Abel, also suffered injuries from the collision. Pavlik was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence and two counts of criminal endangerment, to which he pled guilty at his appearance on Jan. 8. Pavlik also waived his rights to a plea agreement at that same appearance.
Shortly following the appearance in January, Pavlik was booked and released on the condition he participate in the 24/7 Sobriety Program, and to wear a SCRAM bracelet. The sentencing next week will determine his punishment - prison time and fees - that will occur at 10 a.m. in Sanders County Courthouse.
