Mary Stevie Drummond, 72

Beloved wife and mother Mary Stevie Drummond passed away March 5, 2013, at Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Spokane to Robert and Mary Krause.
After graduating from Lewis and Clark High School and Washington State University Mary taught school in Spokane. In August 1963 she married Robert Drummond. During their marriage they lived in Seattle, Spokane and Hayden Lake.
Before retiring, Mary and her husband Bob owned the Drummond Gallery and were partners in the Coeur d'Alene Art Auction held in Sun Valley, Coeur d'Alene and most recently Reno, Nev.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends at the Moscow Bay cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene and their home on Hayden Lake. She especially loved her boys and was a “second” mother to many of their friends. An avid reader, a member of the Episcopal Church and past member of the Hayden Lake Country Club and Chapter AG of P.E.O. she especially enjoyed playing Bridge, Mahjong and traveling with her very close friends.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her sons, Brett (Kim) of Hailey and Bobby (Shelby) of Hayden; and four grandchildren, Ben, Trevor, Jake and Delaney. She is also survived by her special cousin, Sally Felten and nephew Steve French and was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Maggie French.
The family would like to thank the staff at Four Seasons and Hospice House for their wonderful compassion and care. Memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to Hospice House of North Idaho.
