A 20-year-old Post Falls man has been arrested in the death case of a Spirit Lake teen.

Dylan P. Paschall was arrested on Monday night without incident at his parent's home.

He is charged with second-degree murder in the March 2012, death of Luke Anana-Kuewa, 18, Spirit Lake, and is being held at the Kootenai County Jail on a $100,000 warrant.

Anana-Kuewa was found dead in Spirit Lake.

Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh declined to comment. The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office isn't releasing further information.

During the year-long investigation, detectives wouldn't say whether it appeared the death was an accident or suspicious based on their investigation.

Investigators interviewed people who saw Anana-Kuewa before he ended up in the icy waters to determine why he ended up in the small cove on the north end of the lake.

The lake was mostly frozen with open water near shore on much of the lake during the alleged incident.

Paschall will be scheduled for a preliminary hearing within the next 14 days. His previous criminal history as an adult is arrest for possession of a controlled substance in March 2011.
