Jacqueline Richardson, 80
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 10 months AGO
Jacqueline was born June 2, 1932, in San Francisco, Calif., to Chester and Claudys Anderson. She was raised across the bay in Alameda, Calif.
Jackie worked for Bank of America for many years, but in 1964 was offered a position with the new Alameda First National Bank. At the grand opening, Jackie was one of the first employees to greet all new and prospective customers. Jackie was later assigned to manage the bank’s new Oakland Airport branch, which job she enjoyed for many years. Jackie loved banking to the extent that she took all requisite courses to receive her certification with the American Institute of Banking. Jackie was also a member of the Toastmaster’s Club, and the American Association of Business Women. But her most cherished association was with the Order of Eastern Star. She belonged to Carita Chapter No. 15 in Alameda, and upon moving to Idaho in 1992, became a sister with Queen Esther Chapter in Hayden. Jackie loved to read, garden, travel, but most of all, she loved to go out for lunch and shopping with her very close friend.
Jackie is predeceased by her parents; one brother; three sisters and her husband, Alton Richardson. She leaves behind her daughter, Victoria Ramirez (Robert) of Alameda; sons, Marc Richardson (Gina) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Matthew Richardson (Cindi) of Rathdrum, and Michael Jon Richardson and Marshall Richardson (Kristin), both of Hayden. She also leaves the following 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Marc, Alton, Chris, Eric, Michael, Denise, Marshall, Jackie, Kory and Nolan; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Andrew; and her beloved dog, “Rowdy.”
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N.
